Mobile APPs for in-company VET trainers to facilitate the participation of SMEs in apprenticeship programs |
In order to improve employability of young people and ease the transition from school to work, apprenticeships and other forms of Work Based Learning (WBL) are increasingly promoted among companies, particularly Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). The biggest challenges, however, in this field are to convince the companies that apprenticeships offer the opportunity of training young people according to their needs, as well as in-company trainers.
The aim of this project is to facilitate the participation of SMEs in apprenticeship programs by equipping in-company VET trainers with necessary skills and innovative ICT-based tools which may support the management of training activities. Therefore, VET experts and providers, companies and intermediary bodies from eight countries (i.e. Austria, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom) will work together on defining common strategies, co-creating as well as testing innovative ICT-based tools such as Training Modules on Management of Apprenticeship Programs for SMEs, APP & TEACH Mobile Instructional Learning APP, APP & TEACH Multilingual eLearning Platform and APP & TEACH Set of Mobile Learning APPS.
