Job relevant basic skills concepts and tools for groups facing particular challenges at the labour market |
Project Background
There is need for developing basic skills learning settings adjusted to reality and everyday life in companies and the world of labour in general. This need particularly applies for vocational education and training targeted at socially disadvantaged young people facing difficulties with learning, as well as for further qualification of low-level educated in different work sectors.
Objectives
The project aims at developing and implementing concepts and instruments that focus on orientation towards learners’ actual life situations and characteristics of the labour market. The overall objective is integrating groups facing particular challenges at the labour market into education, training and employment.
Transfer of the Project „GiWA“
This transfer of innovation project is connected to the project consortium of “GiWA“ (“Grundbildung in Wirtschaft und Arbeit /basic skills in labour and economy”) supported by the German Ministry of Education and Research. It will provide results and products for transfer and adaptation into different sectors and contexts of vocational education and training in the partner countries (Austria, UK, Sweden, France, Poland, Slovenia).
