ENTER

Entrepreneurship towards employment

A transfer of the successful LdV project “Learn.Empowerment” (2004-2007, coordinated by BEST)

Background

All over Europe, young people suffer from high levels of unemployment. To face this reality, effective training programmes need to be accessible to all young people in order to ensure that they have the necessary skills to apply for a variety of positions across the EU. It is important to unlock the huge potential of start-up entrepreneurs and stimulate them to set up a new enterprise. Small enterprises are creating new jobs and they constitute the driving force of an economy. One of the main priorities of the EU is to ensure that there are prospects for growth and provision of employment to young people.

Aims and target group

Our ENTER project will facilitate the development of innovative practices in the field of VET by (i) transferring and adapting the original EA and Learn.Empowerment (LE) materials; (ii) developing common guidelines on EA and LE as an integrated solution; (iii) piloting EA and LE; (iv) design ECVET young entrepreneurship curricula; (v) developing dissemination and valorisation outcomes.

Two target groups are identified: a) VET providers, who will receive the methodologies, tools and competencies, in order to be the future entrepreneurial educators and, thus, speed up entrepreneurship learning among young unemployed people and b) young unemployed who will be the end users of the project.

Outcomes

The outcomes of the project can be summarised as follows:

  • Two innovative methodologies and tools, EA and LE, focused on entrepreneurship and empowerment competencies
  • One European ECVET curriculum for young entrepreneurs and common guidelines for the integration in existing VET programmes
  • Several dissemination and exploitation activities
