Promoting management and entrepreneurial thinking among the career counsellors and guidance practitioners in the EU societies

Most of the European countries' indicators for employability of young adults and participation in lifelong learning are far lower when compared to the Europe 2020 benchmarks. Moreover, the rapidly developing technologies are additional challenges that need to be taken into account by young adults and their trainers, career counsellors and guidance practitioners. A large number of researchers and analysts point out the impact of technological change on all life dimensions, including education and training and career counselling and guidance. Boosting the participation of adults in lifelong learning and investing in skills upgrading and competence-development throughout the life-cycle can be seen as an effective response to societal challenges such as the rapid technological progress and change of professional requirements.
