Succession Managers

The “SMA” project aims at re-qualification and upgrade of skills of manager in order to build up a new class of “Next Generation take-up” managers.

This goal will be achieved by

  • developing innovative, well beyond the state of the art, formative contents to provide skills to make managers apt to manage the next generation take-up process in family businesses, still not available in CVET market, tailored on the specific requirements of the intended application and focused on learning specific needs of less Skilled/qualified, managers;
  • transferring the projects results to the major European actors involved in the Small and Medium Sized enterprises sector. The learning material (=formative content), that will be realised, will make managers skilled in “Next generation take-up process” , allowing them to face the problem of the succession in family business to one generation to another affecting an increasing number of enterprises, jeopardising the survival itself of many SMEs; with a consequent negative impact on labour market.

Outcomes

The project products will be targeted on specific learning needs of managers over 40 that, despite to their expertise, suffer a lack of strategic competencies, necessary to ensure them the preservation of their workplace or to increase the possibilities for their replacement.

Target groups

The “S.MA” project will target Small and Medium sized enterprises, VET and in particular CVET. Potential users of the project results will be VET providers dealing with e-learning, higher education institutions, professional organization, family business organizations, unions, SMEs.
