Press release 2 – Project Courage
Several products have been developed in the frame of the COURAGE project (Discover and Use Your Skills and Civil Courage – a new way of empowerment for young disadvantaged adults in Europe), an ERASMUS + Key Action 2 project (project number: 2018-1-UK01-KA204-048016). After more than a year of activities the 5 European partners have finalised the self-learning manual for educators and trainers, edited over fifty practical scenarios to be used as educational tool, created national Showcases to demonstrate how training initiatives for civic courage can be delivered.
These three major outputs, which can be downloaded from the website (www.courage-skills.eu), consist of theoretical and practical instruments which educators, in different fields, can use so as to empower young adults in the so much needed essential skill of civic courage. This shall enable people to properly address matters related to bullying, violence, emergency life situations, racism, discrimination. Now, the last effort, consists of the drafting of recommendations for decision and policy makers over the topic.
Corvid19 has marginally affected the implementation of the project by impeding the consortium to gather in presence for the last transnational meeting in Bucharest and by challenging the organisation of multiplier dissemination events which now have to be scheduled either as online events or face to face ones but with reduced attendance. The events are being organised these days to share the innovative aspects and products worked out by the project. Stay tuned.
