Project “New Spirit – kompetent in den Job” starts into its second half
From March to December 2019, the innovative, flexible, resource- and solution-oriented course project, which we currently carry out on behalf of the employment service Vienna, the “AMS Wien”, for its regional office at Johnstraße, will provide over 150 young adults with solid insights into the modern world of ICT, digitization and the new media.
Topics like Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, Big Data, eCommerce, Online Marketing, Social Media Management, Data Security and many more shape today’s modern economy and thus also the world we work in. To name just one consequence, more and more professionals in industries such as gastronomy and tourism take orders from guests with their smartphones or tablets. Moreover, salespeople supervise self-scanner checkouts and a lot of work assignments are placed by e-mail. Recruiting and advertising is done via e-mail or online. The professional use of ICT and digital tools is now state of the art for a successful entry into business life.
The focus of “New Spirit” is therefore the conveyance, expansion and/or enhancement of a wide variety of digital skills and ICT content that our participants need in terms of on-demand education. This, of course, is necessary in order to position themselves successfully in the labor market and to further pursue a career. Previous course success such as appropriate work records and especially the high level of participants’ satisfaction show us that it is worthwhile actively responding to each and every person’s individual requirements and needs. To encourage and support learners, but also to demand from them, are key factors for our thriving course work.
