K-Skills
Key Skills for Mobility |
Background
The reality of vocational and educational training settings across Europe shows that we have not managed to yet positively address the issue of youth unemployment, which is (still) at a worryingly high level in many EU member states. Empowering individuals by a variety of measures, including providing them with transversal employment skills and giving them the opportunity to training mobilities abroad, can support their entry into the labour market.
Aims and Target Groups
The project aims at increasing and improving the mobility of learners in Vocational Education and Training (VET) by developing a more comprehensive training on key and transversal competencies that may increase their access and permanence in the labour market.
VET staff will receive a common frame of references and training materials to improve training of related skills; VET learners will have a better chance to go on training mobilities and transfer their experience to the benefit of their work careers.
Partners and outcomes
The partnership consits of different organisations from Spain, Germany, Italy, the UK and Austria to provide:
- a diagnosis of existing transversal competences of VET learners
- a study on mobility
- a specific training programme
- a guide to help implement the programme in all EU countries
