MAPP – K

Mapping Knowledge for better guidance

Background and target groups

A huge increase of unemployed and a higher use of social welfare instruments to support people who have lost or are at risk to lose their jobs has been noted in many European countries, amongst them those in the MAPP-K partnership. It is professional trainers and guidance experts who mostly work with the people who face this crisis in terms of unemployment and who ask for help in order to integrate and/or re-integrate into the labour market.

Objectives and outcomes

The MAPP-K Learning Partnership shows as a general goal: to improve the competences, to enhance work practices as well as to reinforce motivation of adult guidance professionals and trainers.

The main goal of the partnership is to find new practices in working with adults in order to deliver more efficient services for insertion or re-insertion in the labour market and to help adults to boost their employment prospects, especially via lifelong learning approaches.

The project partnership elaborates a Community of Practice composed by adult training and guidance professionals who come from different European contexts but are currently dealing with similar problems.
